The Austin Police Retirement System (APRS) is one of LRS® Retirement Solutions’ longest tenured customers. After a competitive bid process, APRS has renewed their confidence in our team with the selection of PensionGold® software. In October 2020, APRS issued an RFP for a “Pension Administration System Modernization” to replace PensionGold Version 1 that was implemented in 1997. The RFP included requirements for pension administration functionality, workflow, a secure member portal, and an interface with their current document imaging system.

As a result of two finalist presentations, first for the APRS staff, and a second for the Board of Trustees, both held in June 2021, we began contract negotiations that were finalized in October 2021. The new solution for APRS consists of the PensionGold Version 3 software with extensions consisting of MemberDirect (member portal), EDMDirect with integration to PageCenterX® software, and Workflow (using AgilePoint® software). Hosting services will be provided by our hosting partner, Flexential.

APRS is a $1B pension fund with 2,935 active plan participants and payees, and 7 staff members.
