After a competitive bid process, WSSC Water selected LRS® Retirement Solutions’ web-based PensionGold® software to replace their mainframe-based legacy employee pension and retiree payroll applications. The Commission’s Request For Proposal called for a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution utilizing state-of-the-art web-based technologies with a modern graphical user interface (GUI) to enhance process efficiencies and customer/staff experiences.

The project includes PensionGold Version 3 software along with MemberDirect (member portal) and is scheduled to be completed in mid-2022.

WSSC Water, located in Laurel, Maryland, was established in 1918 and is among the largest water and wastewater utilities in the United States. The retirement system includes 3,400 active plan members and benefit payees.
