LRS® Retirement Solutions is excited to announce that City of Tampa General Employees’ Retirement Fund (“The City”) began their PensionGold® Version 3 software implementation in January 2020.

The City selected LRS after conducting a search for a new solution to replace a variety of legacy stand-alone applications used to handle pension administration operations within the Pension Office. The primary system to be replaced was written in COBOL, operating on the City’s mainframe. With disparate applications, the City’s staff also had functions that required manual data entry.

Critical outcomes for the PensionGold project are to consolidate all the processing for active members and payees into a single line-of-business system, integration with the electronic document management solution, and rollout of a member portal that will include online capabilities for both active members and payees.

LRS’ solution for The City includes PensionGold Version 3 software along with MemberDirect (member portal), EDMDirect with integration to LRS’ PageCenterX® software, and Workflow functionality, as well as managed hosting services.

Tampa GE has approximately 5,100 active and retired plan members.
