1987, 1993, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2006
Our entry into the retirement administration software industry occurred in 1987 when we designed a custom defined benefit pension system for a local public safety pension fund. By 1993, we had developed PensionPlus® software, a PC version of this software, and began marketing it to police and fire pension funds throughout Illinois. We decided it was time to have a dedicated group focused on developing and marketing solutions for defined benefit pension funds.
By 1996, we had developed PensionGold Version 1, a file server-based version of our software. Just two years later, we announced PensionGold Version 2, which was a client/server solution. The rapid growth of the Internet drove the development of PensionGold Member Services for member self service on the Web in 1999.
This was quickly followed by the announcement of our Employer Reporting System product for use by pension systems with a large number of reporting employers, or agencies. It facilitates the scheduling, tracking, and reporting of employer information.
Recognizing the increased value in web-based applications, we started working on the latest version of the PensionGold solution, based on Service Oriented Architecture, Microsoft's .NET Framework, and Web Services. The result in 2006 was PensionGold Version 3, a product that provides a comprehensive and flexible pension administration solution. We continue to enhance and expand the functionality of this version.
In 2011, PensionGold (Release 3.4.0) was fully integrated with PageCenterX, our proprietary document management solution, followed closely in 2012 with the Business Audit Trail Search Feature (Release 3.7.0) enhancement. A year later in 2013, the Correspondence Review and Electronic Distribution and Notification Feature (Release 3.8.0) was added.
To keep pace in a mobile-friendly world, our MemberDirect extension was updated to a responsive design to streamline mobile device use in 2015 with Release 3.10.1.
Today, we are dedicated to providing clients with highly functional state-of-the-art solutions for pension administration and related technology services.
As we look into the future, our strategy is to concentrate in the area of our core solutions. We will continue to find ways to improve and enhance our products and services to meet the changing needs of the pension industry. We will also evolve our products as technology changes, recognizing that proven mature technology is more appropriate for business use. We will continue to emphasize these solutions to our existing long-standing clients as well as continuing to support their investment in our older products. We will also pursue new clients who have a need for these solutions and are a reasonable fit so that it allows both the client and us to be successful and have a long-term relationship.
